At times throughout the year, your daughter may become ill or suffer an injury at school. If this occurs, the College Nurse will assess your daughter’s illness and decide whether:

  • she can receive treatment and return to class
  • her parents/guardians need to be called to take her home or to a doctor
  • an ambulance be called (in extreme cases only).

The College Nurse is available in the Boarding House before the commencement of the school day, Monday to Friday. Boarding students are encouraged to discuss any concerns they have relating to their health and well-being with the College Nurse.

Please be aware that the College Nurse is not a substitute for a doctor. If your daughter is unwell we encourage you to keep her home.

A current Heath Record Form should be updated and forwarded to the College if your daughter’s health issues or medications change. It is strongly suggested that you provide the College Health Centre with a management plan at the beginning of the school year if your daughter has a serious medical condition or requires medication.
