Megan and Rebecca speak about Edmund Rice Camps for Kids
Past Pupils Megan McKenna and Rebecca Hicks are truly making a difference. They are working as coordinators of volunteer leaders for Edmund Rice Camps for Kids.
Edmund Rice Camps for Kids is a non-profit community based organisation that assists children aged 7 to16 in hopes of providing them with mentors and friends.
The camps and activities are run by young adult volunteers. They are for children who would not otherwise have such opportunities, supporting children who are 'at risk' or experiencing some form of disadvantage.
Megan and Rebecca spoke to our Year 12 students last week, encouraging the girls to volunteer their time for those less fortunate.
Edmund Rice Camps is currently looking for volunteers over the age of 16. We at Iona Presentation College have an opportunity to act as volunteers who serve as mentors to young children. If you would like to make a difference to the lives of these children, please visit edmundricecampswa.com.au.
