Iona Tuition Raffle 2017

The Parent Council is encouraging parents and guardians to 'make a diference' in the education of their daughters, and purchase a ticket in the 2017 Iona Tuition Raffle.

You could win your daughter's tuition feed paid for 2018, up to the value of $9,200. Please see below for full terms and conditions.

The Raffle will be drawn on Saturday 12 August 2017 at the Iona Parent Council Quiz Night.

$50 per ticket, and only 500 tickets available. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased.

Terms and Conditions

Lottery Permit

The Iona Presentation College Parent Council Tuition Raffle 2017 (Raffle) is being conducted pursuant to lottery permit LS210177617 [issued by the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor] (LS208727616). The Permit is held by Caroline Ellison, Chair Iona Parent Council, on behalf of Iona Presentation College (ABN: 26 834 791 402) of 33 Palmerston Street, Mosman Park, WA 6012 (Iona Presentation College) to conduct and promote the Lottery in Western Australia. Lottery Permit Holder: Caroline Ellison, Chair Iona Parent Council, 0409 200 633.

Promotion Period

• Raffle begins: Wednesday 28 June 2017 12:00PM AWST.
• Final ticket sales close: Wednesday 9 August 2017 11:59PM AWST (unless sold out prior to this time)
• Draw date: Saturday 12 August 2017 at the Iona Quiz Night (to be held at 7.00PM AWST).

Terms and Conditions

• Purchasers must be 18 years or older. Only 500 tickets at $50 each will be sold.
• There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased by each individual Purchaser (subject to the overall ticket limit of 500).
• Proceeds from the sale of the Raffle tickets will go towards the Iona Parent Council.
• The winner will be notified in writing and the names of the winner may be published in the Iona Presentation College newsletter, The Ionian on Monday 14 August 2017.
• The Iona Presentation College may use a prize winner's details for promotional purposes. By purchasing a Raffle ticket, the Purchaser agrees that if the Purchaser is a prize winner, the Purchaser will participate in reasonable media activities concerning the Raffle draw and to photographs or video of the winner being used for the Iona Presentation College's marketing and promotional activities (both in print and on the internet).
• The Raffle draw is subject to a required minimum number of tickets being sold, as determined by Iona Presentation College. If the required minimum number of tickets are not sold by the closing date, the Raffle will be
cancelled and all monies refunded in full to Purchaser, subject to the approval of and any conditions imposed by the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor WA.

Main Draw

• Assuming all tickets are sold, each ticket has a 1 in 500 chance of winning the prize. The prize value is $9,200 in Tuition Fees Only, for the 2018 WA school year.
• The sum of $9,200 (Tuition Fees) will be credited to the 2018 account of the winner's choosing. The account must be that of a student attending Iona Presentation College in 2018.
• The prize must be redeemed within 12 months of the draw date (by 12 August 2018) by notifying Caroline Ellison, Chair Iona Parent Council of the winner's intention to redeem the prize.
• Unused balances cannot be redeemed for cash and are not refundable in any portion.
• If the winner so chooses, the prize may be donated to the College for contribution to the Iona Parent Council fund to be allocated at the Iona Parent Council's discretion.
• Prize is not transferable or redeemable in cash.

Conduct of Draw

The prize draw will be conducted by a representative of the Iona Parent Council at the Iona Parent Council Quiz Night, Iona Presentation College, 33 Palmerston Street, Mosman Park, WA 6012 by means of a barrel draw. Unclaimed prizes will be dealt with in accordance with the procedures set out in the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987 (WA).

Refunds:  Refunds can only be processed prior to the date of the prize draw. Requests for refunds will need written approval of the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor WA. This process may take a number of weeks. Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws.

Changes: Where it is lawful to do so, these Terms and Conditions may be updated to address any errors or to clarify information and re-published online at www.iona.wa.edu.au or otherwise as required by the requirements of the Permit or the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor WA.

Excluded purchasers: Tickets must not be purchased by the Lottery Permit Holder. During the conduct of a draw, if the Iona Parent Council (or delegate) conducting the draw determines that the Lottery Permit Holder is a prize winner, then the relevant prize will be re-drawn. If the Iona Parent Council (or delegate) determines after the conclusion of the draw but before a prize has been collected that the Lottery Permit Holder is a prize winner, then the excluded purchaser will not be entitled to collect the prize.
The decision of the Iona Parent Council (or delegate) will be final and binding.

Acceptance

By participating in the Iona Presentation College Parent Council Tuition Raffle 2017, you are deemed to accept the Terms and Conditions set out in this document.
