Our Day at the da Vinci Decathlon
There was a real sense of excitement as our Year 5 students recently represented the College at the da Vinci Decathlon, held in the iconic Winthrop Hall at The University of Western Australia.
Joining students from schools across Western Australia, the day was filled with challenge, teamwork, and learning.
Competing across ten different disciplines — including Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Code Breaking, Cartography, English, Ideation, Art and Poetry, Creative Producers and Legacy — students were pushed to think creatively, solve complex problems and work together under pressure.
What stood out most throughout the day was the way students supported and encouraged one another. Whether tackling difficult questions, sharing ideas or racing against the clock, there was a wonderful spirit of collegiality and teamwork on display. Students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to give things a go.
The competition was not only an opportunity to showcase academic strengths, but also a chance to build confidence, friendships, and collaboration skills. We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented the College and demonstrated our values of excellence, courage, and community throughout the day. It was a fantastic experience and one I know the students will remember for a long time.
