A visit to Choux Café
In the lead-up to Languages Week, the two Year 9 French classes experienced a real taste of France at the Choux Café.
On two separate occasions, the students sampled authentic and delicious French desserts, from les macarons to la tarte au citron, which were a favourite amongst the girls. Not only did we get to try these delights, we also ordered our food in French (with the assistance of Madame Champalle and Madame Koenig).
This was enriching and great opportunity to use our language skills outside the classroom and apply them to real-life situations. We were graciously hosted by the Choux Café, and everyone left with a smile on their face.
This experience was very educational, and helped girls realise how important and useful learning a language is. We all left with very full stomachs and big smiles on our faces after an enjoyable afternoon.
