ORIENTATION DAY
For students commencing in Year 7, 2027 - all students are expected to attend.

What to Wear
Neat, warm casual clothes
What to Bring
Morning tea, lunch, water bottle and named hat
The day will commence with a Welcome Presentation for parents and daughters, followed by morning tea for parents only. Students will then participate in the activities of the day until 3.00pm when they are to be collected by parents from the Sports Centre.
During the day, your daughter will be taken on a tour of the Iona campus and invited to participate in structured activities designed for her to meet her fellow students.
PEER SUPPORT DAY
For students commencing in Year 7, 2027 - all students are expected to attend.

Prior to Peer Support Day, your daughter will be informed of her House, by way of email, and as such House Activities will form the majority of the activities at this event. She will meet her Peer Support Leader and other Year 7 students from her House. She will certainly have a lot of fun on Peer Support Day!
TRANSITION ACTIVITIES
For students commencing in Year 7, 2027
Your daughter will be invited to attend a range of events in Term 4 that will provide her with a wonderful opportunity to meet staff and build friendships with classmates before she commences in 2027. Further details to follow.

Creative Canvas: Unleash your Imagination
Year 7 2027 students are invited to our Creative Canvas – Unleash Your Imagination afternoon!
Get ready for a colourful, hands-on experience filled with creativity, laughter and fun as you design your own masterpiece and meet new friends.
Whether you love art or simply enjoy trying something new, this is your chance to get inspired and have some fun.
Places are limited, so be quick to secure your ticket and there is no need to wear your school uniform.
Ideas Architect
We are delighted to invite Year 7 2027 students to our Idea Architects Workshop where creative thinking is pushed to the limit in a fun and engaging afternoon!
Working together students will be tasked to solve a fast-paced challenge, while making new friends along the way. You will be amazing at how creative you can be.
Limited places available, so be sure to get your ticket early and no need to wear your school uniform.
Move and Groove: Intro to Dance!
Calling all Year 7 2027 students - you are invited to our Move and Groove: Intro to Dance!
Come and join the fun as students move to the music, learn some easy dance steps and enjoy a high-energy session full of rhythm, creativity and confidence.
Whether you love dancing or just want to have fun, this is your chance to learn some awesome moves, make some new friends and start your Iona journey!

Centre Stage: Drama Fun!
Calling all Year 7 2027 students - you are invited to our Centre Stage: Drama Fun!
Step into the spotlight for a playful Drama session where students will join in theatre games, create characters, use their imagination and have lots of fun working with others.

Try It Out: Volleyball & AFL
Year 7 2027 students - you are invited to our Try It Out: Volleyball & AFL at Iona Presentation College after Orientation Day!
Get ready for an action-packed afternoon of volleyball, AFL, teamwork and new friendships as you learn awesome skills and experience the incredible team spirit that makes Iona so special.
Whether you are already into volleyball or AFL, or trying it for the first time, this is your chance to get involved and be part of the fun!
Don't forget to bring a small snack for after school too.
2027 START DATE
Year 7 students will commence Thursday 28 January 2027 and will be welcomed with a guard of honour by our Year 12 girls.
Please gather in the Sports Centre by 8.30am for an 8.40am start. Parents are invited to stay for morning tea.
UNIFORM FITTINGS
Uniform Shop appointments for incoming 2027 students will be available in Term 4. Families will receive an email from the College with a link to book a suitable appointment time.
Appointments will be available from Thursday 12 November 2026, with limited availability in January 2027 prior to the commencement of the school year.
Please note that appointments are 30 minutes in duration.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM
If your child is interested in commencing or continuing with instrumental lessons through the school instrumental music program, Expressions of Interest forms will be sent out in October. SMARTRIDER CARDS
Year 7 students will be given their new Smartrider Cards in their first week at school in 2027.
