Culture

Students are encouraged to participate in a range of cultural pursuits whilst at Iona.

These activities are aimed at enriching each student's experience, helping to build their diversity of interests, developing their sense of self and purpose. A range of the many and varied cultural opportunities that students can enter into are:

Performing Arts:

Year 1/2 Musical, Years 3 to 6 Biennial Production, Year 7 to 9 Production, College Production (Musical), Year 11 Shakespeare Production, IGSSA Dance, Inter-House Dance and the Performing Arts Festival.

Production Arts:

Visual Arts and Design Showcase Club.

Ukelele Club (Years 5/6), Liturgical Music (Junior School), Choir (Junior School and Senior School), Brass Ensemble, Choir, Chorale, Clarinet Choir, Concert Band, Flute Choir, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Rock Band, String Ensemble, String Orchestra, Swing Out Sisters and Symphony Orchestra.

Students on both campuses may also participate in private music lessons encompassing a wide range of instruments and voice training. All lessons are facilitated by highly qualified sessional music teachers who bring unique expertise and enthusiasm.
