That's a wrap on the 2022 College Production!

On Sunday 31 July, the final curtain came down on our production of Mamma Mia! Year 12 students and production cast members Minerva Chaney and Lucy Howard (2022 Arts Captain) wrap up the experience...

Minerva: ABBA lyrics and the buzz of ongoing excitement has been circulating throughout the College for days following a smash-hit weekend of performances of this year's College Production Mamma Mia!. Rehearsals at the Regal Theatre began on Sunday 24 July, when we began to settle in to the wonderful performance space and add new elements to the show such as lighting and the band. It really started to feel real.

The nerves before Opening Night were high, but after our first performance they settled as we were bombarded with positive feedback.

For the Saturday matinee we had two fantastic interpreters from Auslan Stage Left interpreting throughout the show, which not only made the performance more inclusive but added a whole new dimension.

All four performances went off without a hitch and nearly every seat was sold out.

Lucy It takes an army to create and run a show like this one. From the Wardrobe Crew girls bedazzling for hours on end, to the Production Crew girls putting on aprons and playing extras while moving the set. The wonderful support and professionalism of these girls occurs under the calm but excellent guidance of Ms Ward and Mrs Crane. We would like to give a big shout out to them and their crews for making the production look so amazing.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Ms Miller and the College Leadership Team for providing us with the opportunity to perform this musical in a professional theatre.

And last but certainly not least, we couldn't have done it without our incredible director, Mr Brant, and our inspiring choreographer, Mrs Brant.  Your talent, hard work and support for us ensures the show is not only an exceptional experience for the audience but a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. For this we will be forever grateful.
